LLC «Russian Railway Tours» organized walking with steam locomotive

“Locomotive walk” started at Rizhsky railway station with a tour in the Museum of railway engineering history where in the open air performed more than 60 full-scale exhibits of XX century railway era. Here sightseers could witness the legendary “Ovechka” (locomotive of “Os” series), listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

Later the guests went to a real “Locomotive walk” en-route Rizhsky railway station – Depot “Podmoskovnaya”. This Depot was built in 1901 and has being operated nowadays. There excursionists with a pleasure observed locomotive maneuvers, depot work and watched turning circle, railway buildings and constructions of XX century.

At 15:00 the train with a steam locomotive brought the tourists back to the Rizhsky railway station.

Tourists experienced the unique charm of locomotive era which will be saved for a long memory.
