On March 13th the tourists made a short term journey on a Steam locomotive during which they could plunge into the olden days, feel the heat from the furnace and heard the legendary locomotive train whistle.
“Locomotive walk” started at Rizhsky railway station with a tour in the Museum of railway engineering history where in the open air performed more than 60 full-scale exhibits of XX century railway era. Here sightseers could witness the legendary “Ovechka” ( locomotive of the series “Os”), listed in the Guinness Book of Records.
Later the guests went to a real “Locomotive walk” en-route Rizhsky railway station – Depot “Podmoskovnaya”. This Depot was built in 1901 and has being operated this day.
At 15:00 the train with a steam locomotive brought the tourists back to the Rizhsky railway station.
Tourists experienced the unique charm of locomotive era and cheered yourself up for the whole day!
